There are several other hand held cameras out there on the market.   I had come across one that I believe cost like only $99.  My computer crashed on me last month and I've lost the link to that web-site.  If I can ever find it again, I'd sure love to find out how it compares to the above MAX camera.

I also have another hand held (B/W) called the Magni-Cam.  It ran $695.  Too high of a price.  They also had a color hand-held for "only" $995 (Yeah, Right).  I noticed at their web-site, http://www.magnicam.com/Primer.html , they have come out with a newer model (B/W) now priced at $295.  This is cheaper than the above hand-held, but I don't know if the battery pack (shown above) would be compatible.

I'm still searching for a lower priced hand-held, for the life of me, I cannot see the reason these cameras cost so much.  Heck one can buy a more complex piece of electronics, such as a video camcorder for less.

Come back to this site periodically and see if I've come up with the better mouse trap yet.
